Man möchte es nicht glauben, ich arbeite seit 1997 in Frankfurt und war noch nie dort auf dem Weihnachtsmarkt. Und da mir Frau Landgeflüster Lust auf die umgebaute Zeil gemacht hat (da war ich nämlich auch noch nicht), bin ich heute um 12 Uhr in die S-Bahn und ab in die Stadtmitte. Und ja, was war das schön.
Obwohl auch bei diesem Wetter einige Hartgesottene im Dachcafé-Zeilgalerie draußen saßen, habe ich mir das für den nächsten Sommer vorgenommen.
... aber was ein Ausblick
Den Rest dieses Einkaufsparadies habe ich mir für den nächsten Besuch aufgehoben
Mit einem heftigen Umweg über die Konstablerwache habe ich mich durch entzückende Seitengassen durchgeschlagen und stand plötzlich und ungeplant vor der Freimarkthalle, in die ich aber auch schon seit Jahren wollte. Genuß pur! Frische Erbsen, Kirschen und frische Datteln hüpften mir dort in die Tasche, außerdem sehr leckere Biotees als kleine "Dazusl" (Kleinigkeiten zum Weihnachtsgeschenk). Dieser persische Stand war sehr unterhaltsam, da jeder Käufer in den 15 Minuten, die ich da stand, eine sehr interessante Geschichte zu erzählen hatte (man glaubt es nicht, was sich Wildfremde so alles erzählen :)
Ohne Orientierungssinn machte ich mich dann wieder auf den Weg Richtung dom.
Nach 3maligem Nachfragen fand ich Trulle dann hinter dem Dom auch endlich den Weihnachtsmarkt.
Pflichtschuldig bewunderte ich das schöne Karussell mit den zwei Ebenen
... und fand viele Geschenke ... eines ist so genial, dass ich sogar bei Galileo davon schon gehört habe (ich trau mich nicht, vor Weihnachten schon was zu schreiben, aber ich sag nur Reiskorn) ...
Wie schön, dass der Weihnachtsmarkt direkt bis zur Zeil ging ... Mann, muß ich blind sein, dass ich das beim Hinweg übersehen habe (da habe ich nur Augen für die Zeil gehabt) ...
Danach bin ich in Wetzlar noch schnell in einige Läden meines Vertrauens gesprungen, sogar einen Weihnachtsbaum konnte ich noch aussuchen (der wird für 2 Euro Aufpreis sogar dei 8km geliefert) ....
Und jetzt haben wir uns den Rest des Abends mit einem weiteren Zeitverbringding um die Ohren geschlagen: wir haben Weihnachtskugeln angemalt ... und da brauch ich doch noch deutlich mehr :)
