Im Supermarkt habe ich ehrlich gesagt, noch nie darauf geachtet: ist ein Stiel dran oder nicht. Am Apfel, meine ich.
Aber jetzt, jetzt nehme ich das bewußt wahr. Auch, weil ich selbst einen Apfelbaum habe. Einen mickrigen, wenig tragenden Ballerina-Säulenbaum. Und eben wegen diesem Baum wird dieses winzige Teil aus dem Puzzle des Wissens interessant: wann ist ein Apfel reif?
An diesem Baum sind trotz der ca. 400 Blüten des Frühjahres maximal 20 Äpfel. Und diese Äpfel plumpsen teilweise runter und sind faul ... oder hängen oben und lächeln mich mit ihren roten Bäckchen an.
Und ich stehe unten und frage mich. Sind sie oder sind sie nicht. Wann ist ein Apfel reif? Früher, auf dem riesen Apfelbaum im Garten meiner Mutter war diese Frage völlig unwichtig, weil auf diesem Baum hingen gigantische Mengen an Äpfeln und in jedem Frühherbst saßen wir gefühlte Tage auf dem Baum und aßen einen Apfel nach dem anderen, egal, ob reif oder nicht.
Aber jetzt, heute, ist dieses Wissen gold für mich. Als ich mir meinen wunderschönen Apfelpflücker griff und einen dieser wunderschön rotbäckig lächelnden Äpfel abgemacht habe, blieb der Stiel am Baum und der Geschmack bestätigte uns: uuuuuuuah, dieser Apfel hätte noch ein bischen gebraucht.
Und jetzt habe ich es auch gelesen: ein Apfel ist erst reif, wenn beim Pflücken der Stiel am Apfel bleibt!
Mal sehen, wenn ich jetzt jeden zweiten Tag einen probiere, von den restlichen auch noch einige Äpfel abfallen und faulen, wieviele werden wohl übrigbleiben, um von mir gepflückt werden zu können ... mit Stiel am Apfel?
