Heute war Arbeitseinsatz an der Grundschule, Schulhofsanierung. Anstrengend! Sehr anstrengend. Auch wenn ich nur einen halben Tag mitgemacht habe.
Und ich habe die gelegenheit genutzt, unseren "KönntemichbittejemandfotografierenundindieZeitungbringen"-Bürgerm... gefragt, warum unser Kreisel im Ort keinen Zebrastreifen hat (weil bspw. meine Tochter an dieser Stelle totale Probleme hat, überhaupt über die Strasse zu kommen). Seine Antwort war: Zebrastreifen sind gefährlich und werden von Verkehrsplanern abgelehnt mit den Worten "Sie können ja welche hin machen, aber wir haben Sie gewarnt". Angeblich würde ein Zebrastreifen, wenn er nicht an einer zentralen, superstark befahrenen Stelle wäre, übersehen und wäre somit eine wesentlich größere Gefahrenquelle für den Straßenüberquerdenden, als wenn die Straße keinen Zebrastreifen hätte. Und als ich dann noch angedeutet habe, daß man für jede Meinung auch ein passendes wissenschaftliches Argument finden könnte, wurde er richtig sauer und ging mich an. Aber heute nicht. Heute habe ich diesem angenehmen Menschen nur gesagt, ich wüßte nicht, womit ich so einen Ton verdient hätte ... und prompt schaltete er schnell in den Schleimergang. Urgs.
Also, glaube ich es, oder glaube ich es nicht?

Dass Fußgänger im Kreisverkehr Vorfahrt haben, ist leider den meisten Autofahrern nicht bewusst. Und einfordern kann man das ja nun leider auch nicht - schon gar nicht als Schulkind!
Daher wäre ich an Stellen, an denen viele Kinder einem Kreisverkehr passieren schon auch für einen Zebrastreifen.
Aber Zebrastreifen werden wohl wirklich nicht mehr oft eingesetzt. Hier in Ratingen wurden sie mit der gleichen Begründung abgelehnt wie bei Euch. Also ist entweder was dran - oder Politiker sind überall gleich! ;-)

Ich weiß jetzt auch nicht, ob ich mich getröstet fühlen soll. Anscheinend geht ein Zebrastreifen nur noch auf Bundesstrassen. Ich achte jetzt auch sehr verstärkt darauf.
Blos, wo mein Kind nun die Strasse überqueren soll, das ist mir nach wie vor nicht klar: wie sie es schaffen soll, dort über die stark befahrene Strasse zu kommen. Irgendwann. Allein. Bald.

I do not know whether it's just me or if everyone else experiencing problems with your website. It appears as if some of the text within your content are running off the screen.
