Helmut! Was ein Typ! In dem einen Jahr, das ich jetzt (arbeits)täglich nach Frankfurt gependelt bin, habe ich verschiedenste Menschen kennen gelernt. Einer davon ist Helmut. Helmut hat in der Zeit seinen Schuhmachermeister gemacht. Hat mir stolz seine Meisterarbeit gezeigt: handgenähte Herrenschuhe, Stich für Stich Qualität.
Helmut hat immer irre Storrys drauf gehabt. Einmal ist er morgens um 4 Uhr nach Frankfurt gefahren, hat im Laden nachgesehen, ob Arbeit für ihn da ist. Da nichts da war, wollte er sich an seiner Lieblings-Coffee-To-Go-Bude was holen. Die hatte noch zu. Helmut, flexibel, wie er nun mal ist, fuhr einfach mit dem Auto zurück nach Wetzlar, dort hatte der Bahnhofskiosk, wie er wußte, ganz sicher Kaffee für ihn! Dort hat er sich dann in den Zug gesetzt und ist wieder nach Frankfurt gefahren, zum Arbeiten ab 7 Uhr. Irre!
Danach habe ich ihn einige Zeit nicht gesehen, seinen Meister hatte er fertig, er wollte sich eigentlich in Wetzlar selbständig machen, mit eigenem Schuhmacherladen. Orthopädische Schuhe gehen wohl recht gut.
Na, und diesen Helmut habe ich vor zwei Tagen in einem Wetzlarer Einkaufszentrum gesehen. Zufällig lief er da ...
Spontan wie immer haben wir sofort ein kurzes Schwätzchen gehalten. Ich habe ihn nach seinen Selbständigkeitsplänen in Wetzlar gefragt, er grinste nur und meinte: "Selbständig mache ich mich wohl, aber in Norwegen!".
Er hatte dank dem Arbeitsamt mitbekommen, daß Norwegens bester Schuhmacher einen Mitarbeiter sucht. Kurzentschlossen hat er seine Sachen gepackt und ist jetzt seit 4 Wochen dort der Angestellte dieses Mannes mit Aussicht auf Geschäftsführerposition in dessem 2. Laden, den Helmut aufmachen soll. Haus hat er dort auch schon gekauft. Glücklich ist er!

Ich wuensche Helmut auch richtig viel Glueck. Im Ausland neu anzufangen ist ein mutiger Schritt und mit so tollen Aussichten richtig klasse!
Ausserdem kann ich aus eigener Erfahrung sagen, es laesst sich auch anderorts sehr gut leben :)

Ja, manchmal bekomme ich auch Sehnsucht! Und es ist für Jung und Alt einfach toll, wenn man sein Gehirn für eine neue Sprache in Schwung bringen muß.
Aber vor Deinen Griechischkenntnissen ziehe ich echt den Hut.
