Kennen Sie auch die "Märchen aus 1001 Nacht"?. Wir haben dieses Buch von einer Nachbarin geschenkt bekommen. Vor einigen Tagen habe ich angefangen, meiner Tochter dieses Buch vor zu lesen, naiv wie ich war, ohne vorher mal einen Blick auf den Text zu werfen, ich las also:
"Der ruhmreiche König Schahriar grollte seiner Frau, die sich in einen anderen verliebt hatte. Deshalb ließ sie der unglückliche König hin*ri*chten" ... da fing ich schon an zu schlucken ... "Da ihm dies als Rache nicht genügte, verheiratete er sich drei Jahre lang Tag für Tag mit einem anderen Mädchen, das er am Morgen auf die gleiche Art und Weise t*ö*ten ließ"
...
Da beschloss ich endlich, einige Textstellen zu überspringen, aber es war schwierig, da ständig solche Bausteine zu finden waren "Junan fuhr den W*e*sir zuerst zornig an, nach einige Zeit jedoch begann er, sich vor Ruan zu fürchten und so beschloß er, ihn ent*haup*ten zu lassen ..."
...
Böses Foul, kann ich da nur sagen. In Zukunft schaue ich mir die Bücher vorher doch genauer an, die man mir für ein 6jähriges Kind schenkt, bevor ich anfange, vor zu lesen!

Auf jeden Fall (vorher anschauen). Aber ich finde nicht nur 1001 Nacht ungeeignet, sondern auch die "normalen" Grimms Märchen, die ja schon wesentlich jüngeren vorgelesen werden.
Neulich habe ich einer knapp Vierjährigen Die 7 Geißlein und Rotkäppchen vorgelesen und fand es recht unpassend, dass beide Male der Wolf die "Guten" frisst und danach den Bauch aufgeschnitten bekommt...

Wir hatten auch ein Buch mit verschiedenen Märchen. Der böse König tötete dort auch mehrere Frauen und ließ ihre Köpfe auf Zaunpfählen ... öhm... zur Schau stellen. Illustriert mit einem passenden Bild. *kopfschüttel*
Ich hab zum Glück vorher reingeschaut und das Märchen rausgerissen, weil ich so sauer war. Die anderen Geschichten waren nämlich durchaus kindgerecht. ;-)

Ohja, dieses Problem kenne ich auch, wenn auch in etwas abgeschwächter Form: es gibt soviele "schlechte" Kinderbücher, die in Erwachsenen-Deutsch geschrieben sind. Und genau diese Bücher bekommt die Kleinste immer geschenkt. *augenroll*
Es ist langatmig und macht Geschichten für das Kind uninteressant, wenn man in jedem zweiten Satz ein Wort erklären muß, die im Sprachschatz eines Klein- oder auch Kindergartenkindes einfach nicht vorkommen und somit die Geschichte unterbrechen muß.
Selbst bei Janosch - und das schreibe ich, obwohl ich ihn liebe! - kommt das vor.
Und Märchen habe ich keinem meiner 3 Kinder vorgelesen.

Ich erinnere, dass ich so mit 10,11 eine Maerchen- und Sagenphase hatte. Hatte auch 1001 Nacht gelesen. Mit den Greultaten konnte ich irgendwie damals nichts anfangen, dass war fuer mich alles unwirklich.
Aber wenn ich ehrlich bin, haette ich ein Kind, wuerd ich insgesamt ein wenig Abstand nehmen, von dem was wir frueher so als Maerchenlektuere hatten.
Wie bereits andere erwaehnt haben, waren das als Erwachsenengeschichten gedacht.

I was wondering if you ever considered changing the page layout of your website? Its very well written; I love what youve got to say.
