Was denkt sich der Hersteller, wenn er den Namen für ein Produkt aussucht? Wieso nennt man etwas Steinwolle, wenn es weder aus Stein noch aus Wolle ist ... sondern aus Glas?

Es gibt beides, sowohl Steinwolle als auch Glaswolle. Wobei letztere noch mehr piekst.
Ich hab gebaut, ich weiß das. ;-)

Ich habe gestern auf n-tv wissen die Herstellung von Steinwolle gesehen ... zumindest haben die behauptet, es wäre Steinwolle ... und in dieser Fabrik wurde das wirklich mit Glas gemacht, dem Mineralien beigefügt wurden, es war dann auch die graue Matte, nicht die gelbliche ;)
Aber ich habe gerade mit diesen beiden Begriffen gegoogeld, da sticht man ja mitten in ein Wespennest.
Geht doch nichts über einen Bericht, der direkt vom Hersteller gesponsert wird

Klar, wenn da Minerale drin sind dann muss es Stein sein ;) Naja zumindest rein geologisch gesehen - materialwissenschaftlich natürlich nicht.
